Situations in practice

Nine decisions every professional faces.

They are not about theory. They are about what happens when the case is in front of you and the answer is not in the book.

Deciding with an incomplete work-up

The owner cannot afford the full panel. What to confirm first?

Explaining risk to the decision-maker

How to present alternatives, costs and limits without promising what the evidence does not support.

Pain that cannot be seen

Validated scales for cats and dogs, and what changes when the animal hides the sign.

Zoonosis in the consultation

When a sign in the animal is a warning for the family, and what to notify.

Biosecurity on the farm

Routine decisions that prevent the next crisis in the herd.

Spectrum of care

Clinically acceptable options for different realities, decided together.

Reading a paper in twenty minutes

Separating what the study shows from what the abstract promises.

Welfare in transport

What the accident severity scale teaches about restraining dogs in vehicles.

A career outside the city

Predictors of rural practice and what weighs on the choice of new graduates.

ACENews

What is changing in the field.

Before deciding

The questions everyone asks.

Straight answers, based on what ACE actually offers. No promise the credential cannot keep.

Does this count as a postgraduate degree or professional registration?

No. ACE issues completion and practice credentials that can be verified by code, stating what was assessed and how. They do not replace a degree, registration with a professional board or a licence. What we say is exactly what the credential proves.

Do I need to pay or create an account to explore?

The website, the tools and ACE News are open. An account is used to save progress in the Learning Center and to request completion records.

Are the cases real?

Cases are built from published literature and practice situations, with no identifiable patient data. Each track states where the case comes from.

In which languages?

Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish and English, with the same content in all three versions and review per language.

How do I know the sources are reliable?

Every story and every track carries a verification table: sources, access date, what each source supports and a notice when a figure rests on a single source.

Who is accountable for the content?

The editorial policy names responsibilities, the technical review flow and the corrections channel, with a public record of changes.
